We put our lives on hold for 13 months and took off to explore the world. We packed up our little unit, placed everything into a small box and left it all in storage. With only a backpack in hand we bought a one way ticket to Vietnam and set off on a journey we had been planning for over a year.

We are not big group travellers and always found ways to do treks, tours and sights on our own. A few to mention that we organised ourselves was the Gokyo Ri and EBC trek, The Colca Canyon, Salkantay Trek, Galapagos cruise and a 3 week trip of Turkeys amazing coast.

Since ending our trip we have managed to squeeze a few additional trips in but nothing as long as our year around the globe. Keep an eye out for our new blogs on South Africa, Road tripping around New Zealand, Honeymooning in Greece & Croatia and some local tips from our own backyard of Australia.
