It’s been over a year in the making. We decided to pack up and take a year off to go travel the world. We talked about it, argued about it, saved every penny we could and finally we sat down and made plans to do something we have both wanted to do for as long as we can remember.
I have been saying that I can’t wait to travel for my whole life. I have watched multiple friends come and go and go again and while I have been blessed to visit a number of countries already I always longed for the chance to go and truly explore….. Well today is that day.
I have lay in bed most of the night wide awake. A mixture of excitement and nervousness. I have gone over and over in my head what I have packed, what I should take out, and what I should put back in. I have packed and re packed multiple times, applying the vital rule of pack and then remove half! I have checked the travel documents. Checked a number of Internet sites to find if it is ok to enter Vietnam without proof of exit and found very lose information saying it is, so let’s hope it’s true.
We have a one way ticket to Ho Chi Minh, two nights accommodation booked and a very rough idea of places we want to see and things we want to do. We fly at 3 and we are definitely ready to see it all!
